The partnership is intended to enable IntraStage’s new customer to maintain tighter control over their manufacturing process by tracking the complete test life cycle of their product line.  Previously, the customer’s partially paper-based test data entry system precluded the possibility of implementing proactive SPC techniques to review and improve their manufacturing processe.

OEMs have used Contract Manufacturers (CMs) in offshore locations for many years. The driving force behind using such CMs is to reduce overall costs by manufacturing from locations which have lower labor, materials, infrastructure and maintenance costs.
